Coaching Staff
Head Coach: Mark Woods
Coach Woods is a 1970 NA graduate. He played shortstop on the JV and Varsity baseball teams coached by Bob Miller and Jim McCracken. After attending and graduating from Edinboro State College in 1974, Mark began his 34 year of coaching baseball the following season for the Ingomar Senior League and joined the NA coaching staff in 1980 under the leadership of Bob Lebec. Mark has been the Head Coach for Freshman and JV teams and begins his 24th season at the helm posting 329 wins, 88 loses and 1 tie. After completing an undefeated 20-0 season in 1995, he resigned and returned as an assistant volunteer 9th Grade coach in 1998 and 1999. Coach Woods led the 9th Grade team to a successful 17 win, 3 loss record in 2007 and celebrates his 26th season coaching at North Allegheny this year. Mark conducts preseason community baseball clinics for children and specializes in pre-adolescent level instruction for coaches. Mark resides with his wife Cathie in Avalon and has 4 children, Katie, Brandon, Neil, and Cody.
Assistant Coach - Keith Fetsko
I am a 1985 graduate of North Allegheny High School. I played first base and outfield for the Freshman, JV, and Varsity teams. In college I played outfield my Freshman year at Clarion University. Later, I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Political Science. Today I work as a sales consultant for IKON Office Solutions and the 2008 baseball season will mark my third year coaching with the North Allegheny Tiger Baseball Program.
I live in McCandless with my wife, Tracy and my two children, Chase and Julia.
Assistant Coach - Joe Graff
This is Coach Graff's third year coaching at North Allegheny. For the past two seasons, he coached the Ingomar Middle School team and previous to that was a North Allegheny Varsity Catching Coach. After graduating from the University of Southern California, with a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Education, he coached for two years at Palos Verdes High School. While at Palos Verdes High, he managed Freshmen and also served as a Varsity baserunning, outfield, and strength and conditioning coach.
Focusing on fitness, Coach Graff is a member of the American Council on Exercise and SPARQ and is a Certified Personal Trainer. He is currently employed with the Mars School District as a 7th. grade pre-algebra teacher.
